I don't put much on the BB but felt this year the Yankees had in my opinion one of its best team efforts since I have been a Yankee. Working with a roster of essentially 18 guys who ALL wanted to play and could play on most teams was a tough assignment in itself... Every player added value is some way or another... Some were great teammates warming up the players coaching doing the book and assisting me in every way... I appreciated the input from seasoned players who have been around and are enshrined in our HOF. How can you not listen...Everyone's input was invaluable pretty much every game. We have a great team, and we were able to get thru the playoffs again and fight to another championship. With this roster obviously everyone didn't play in the playoffs as each team wanted the championship. That to me is and has been the toughest thing to do as a manager.... Thanks to the guys who played and those who didn't. All contributed to a great win over some really good teams. The Arachnids are always a test and challenge. They have prevailed in the past and are primed to compete again next year...There are other teams who are coming and will make some noise next year and in the future.
I would be remiss if I didn't thank each member of the 2026 65+ Yankee champions for an incredible job. To spare everyone I will not go thru each player... lol
