Be honest. Do you twirl a baseball in your hand while watching? Because you too are a baseball player? Maybe even wear your glove and smack the ball into your glove when the game gets tight? OK. That would be weird. But do you argue with the umpire's strike zone? Or yell "swing the effing bat" when Anthony Volpe takes a 3 - 1 fastball right down the middle? Or stare in disbelief when Aaron Judge strikes out looking? Of course you do. And you might even be thinking to yourself - I would love to play baseball in October.
Well then, Saturday could be your lucky day! Fall Ball starts this Saturday with a 10:00 AM game at Watervliet. So far, 19 tournament-bound players have signed up. We will have nine innings of competitive baseball. And, for only $10.00, you can put on your favorite team's jersey and drive in a couple of runs and run down a fly ball or maybe even replace a pitcher in the 7th inning and give up the go-ahead runs. Argh! Effing Aaron Boone!
