Beautiful night for baseball as The Peppers (no more redhotchili) met The Pirates at the beautiful A Diamond. The Peppers have gotten a bit younger this year and started fast out of the gate scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning on 4 singles an error and an rbi groundout. Pirates answered with one in the bottom of the frame on a single ,stolen base, and two ground ball outs. Peppers added 5 more runs in the top of the second with 4 singles, a reached on error a walk and a productive groundout. Pirates scratched out another run in the bottom of the 3rd on a walk, error and fielders choice. Peppers added 1 more in the top of the 4th and the Pirates answered right back with 2 of their own in the bottom on a booming double by Pidgeon. 2 more runs by the Peppers in the top of the 5th made the tally 11-4. Peppers added another run in the top of the 6th and starting pitcher Dan Durbak was replaced by Taz Nichols who while skaking off the rust allowed 4 runs on 4 walks an error and a single. Light was fading as were many of us and The Peppers plated one more in their half inning. Dave Plew came in to close it out and though the Pirates rallied it was snuffed by a robbed hit up the middle turned into an out at 2nd and that was that. Final score Peppers 13-Pirates 7.
The new look Peppers hit a combined .452 for the game.

It was said at the game Tuesday, that our Pirates Team , and its cast of characters could give the boys from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest a run for their money. The above posts are a Pirate Clubhouse issue and will be addressed accordingly.
