Board members present: John Reel, Don Wixon, John Kalinski, Chris Abrams, Jim Konstantakis, Tommy Smith, Lex Herrlett, Don Ball and Bob Noto. Excused: Will Smith (work). The meeting came to order at 6:15. Don Wixon gave the treasurers report and stated that all teams in the 18 and 33 Divisions have sent their deposits. In the 45 Division deposits have not been received from the Giants and Yankees. In the 55 Division deposits have not been received from the Twins and the Peppers. A check for $500 has been sent to Martel's as a deposit for this years banquet. John Reel also reported that the 990 Income Tax form for 2018 has been completed for review. Jim Bonaparte, the Commissioner of the 33 Division presented the budget and this was approved unanimously by the BOD. Jim Konstantakis, the Co-Commissioner of the new Matinee Division gave an update concerning finances and possible fields to be used this year. The BOD is seeking more information on this and Jim promised it would be forthcoming. A new Website Committee will be formed including Board members and the people currently involved in the present website to give direction to the Website Developer to fit the Leagues needs. Don Ball reported that ticket sales have been slow for this years banquet and reminded the BOD that the ticket price will raise from $25 to $30 on March 15. He also reported that two Raffles will be conducted that night including a 50-50 and an Item Raffle. Please get your ticket money in if you are planning to attend this fun event which includes great food and music. Lex Herrlett reported on the continued planning for the League Golf Tournament. He said that a Saturday tournament is preferred and pricing for this event is being researched at the various coursed in the area. Chris Abrams made a suggestion that a used equipment and uniform drive be initiated by the league this year to donate to the various youth leagues in the Albany area. This would be a great chance to donate all of your unused uniforms and equipment from years past to kids that just can't afford to purchase on their own. This same drive was held several years ago and proved to be very successful and greatly appreciated by the various youth leagues. More information will be forthcoming.
