The 55 Twins played against the Whiz last night at New Scotland field in a game that was called due to darkness and ended in an 8-8 tie. The Twins were up in the bottom of the 7th with 2 runners on and no outs and a 2-2 count on the batter when the catcher said he could not safely see the ball anymore and the umpire called it.
What's the point of that, Mike? I'm surprised that the umpire even let us start the 7th. My center fielder and I were saying that we could barely see the ball. It was clearly a safety issue. The Twins were disappointed, as any team would be in that situation. They had an 8-1 lead before we chipped away to eventually tie it. As for any personal beefs you have with any player, please leave it off the bulletin board.
That's a good one. Made me laugh. Does anyone remember laughter? May hoot and holler at each other on the field, get p.o'.ed,but its just because everybody's a competitor. You guys are really lucky to still be playing the game. Oughtta try it from here, not being able to get out there, dieing a little each time another sunny day goes by, knowing there's nothing else you would rather be doing. You can only kick the dogs so many times before they catch on. P.S.- I'm also getting tired of some of the food you're wives are cooking for me when I'm over your house while you are out playing ball. Tell them to start picking up their game. Thanks P.s.s.-Remote is under the edge of the coach, we didn't want to break it.

Also wanted to wish Happy birthday to a couple fellas who are celebrating birthdays in their 70's.
Mike Hart and Brad Buchan, still playin baseball.
Big ups to these two fellas, and anyone else still doin it.
Hey Baseball!!!!!
Petie - This BB would be nothing without a Good Post from you once in a while. Wish you were able to get on the field like you used to ..... hang in there Big Guy!
Thanks, Pete. Turn 71 in two weeks. My right leg knows it. So does my left. And my eyes ... I could go on. My wife had an idea, which I like: For guys over 70, make the bases 80 feet long, and put the mound 70 feet away.
Keep up your spirits as best you can and ride them. That's like hitting the ball high and far.
Thanks again. -Mike
