After a brief delay due to lack of umpires, the Braves and Royal Brewers played their game on a beautiful day in Chatham. Special thanks to the umpire we recruited from the parking lot. He was the catcher for the 18 division Chatham Pirates who was there for his game following ours and happened to have his umpire gear in the car. He did a great job calling our game, and then catching his own! I really appreciate him stepping up for us. Also thanks to Brad Buchan for making a ton of phone calls to find an umpire who then showed up to ump the bases.

Mark Denicola went the distance for the Braves allowing only 2 hits and 3 unearned runs due to some "rusty" Braves defense. He also went 2-3 at the plate with a double and 2 RBI's to help secure his own victory.
