With 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th,
the Giants won 6-5 over the Cards last night,
D Duncan pitched 5 strong, but suffered some shoddy
defense, sandwiched around a Ferraro double in a 3
run 5th inning. Giving the Cards a 5-3 lead.
JK pitched scoreless 6th and 7th innings,
holding the Cards at bay.
In the bottom of the 7th, with the daylight, and the Giants
hopes dwindling, Duncan laced a shot down the left field line
scoring 2 to tie the game.
With the infield drawn in, and the bags juiced, Petey G grounded to short with
Mark Maz blazing home toward the plate.
A slight bobble, and Maz's speed, drew a wide throw to the plate, scoring
the walk off run.
Nice night, good competition, good game.

...and a good write-up. Glad to see Vermont mate Pete G delivered the winner. He spent eight hours manicuring our HS softball field for a state tournament game in Bennington yesterday (which we won 8-1), so kudos to him.
Was there a John Latorre sighting?
