The Twins defeated the Dodgers 10-4 at Watervliet High School on a perfect evening for baseball last night. The Dodgers were up early scoring 1 in the first and 3 in the second making it 4-0 until the 4th when the Twins scored 3 times. After a quiet 5th inning, the Twins banged out 7 hits and scored 6 runs in the sixth to go ahead 9-4. One more run for the Twins in the top of the 7th made it 10-4. John Newman picked up the win with a complete game effort scattering 10 hits, walking 2 and striking out 3.

For the Twins, Stefan Koutsakis and Mike Ruslander had 2 hits each while Wayne Nicholson knocked in 3 runs and displayed some fine fielding at third base.

The Dodgers got good production from Staulters, Denicola, and Reed who had 2 hits each.
