Last night at New Scotland Park, the 55 Twins defeated the Peppers 7-0. Twins pitcher John Newman went the distance and picked up the win striking out 6, allowing no runs, 4 hits, and no walks. The Twins managed 8 hits against 5 Peppers pitchers. Lee Madsen, Rick Saidenberg, and Mike Cleary had 2 hits each for the Twins . Saidenberg's hits were both doubles and he also had 3 RBI's. It was a perfect night for baseball and the field was in beautiful condition.
Congratulations to the Twins on the win, and especially to my Cougars teammate Rick Saidenberg, who can always be counted on to add some power to the lineup.
