Definitley like to thank everyone for all the support for us down here. we squared up today against the Atlanta Saints ( Giants ) who were in the finals 3 years ago so we considered an elimination game. Because if we dont win here we have a long road to the finals. First off everyone stepped up and gave their all. I started the game and figured would try to go as far as I could before changing things and what helps ALL pitching is hitting. And hit we did and did again. lex Herrlett pitched a complete game to the 20-6 victory. hits throughout the lineup everyone contributed and was a great team win.Defense played outstanding Now waiting to see seedlings andntimes for tommorrows play. Say some prayers . Cross FINGERS And toes whatever energy you can give so we can feel it down here we appreciate it lex
Lex, good luck to you and the rest of the Albany Yankees in your opening round playoff game against the Delaware Diamondbacks this morning. You guys have already cleared the first hurdle to get into the elimination round, and now is the time when the true warriors reach down for that extra grit (and ibuprofen) to overcome the sore arms, achy knees and tired legs that come with playing 45 innings in four days. Your team has the makeup of guys who will claw to the end. Keep the train rollin', and your eyes on the prize, in your quest to survive another day. Also, don't forget to relish how lucky you are to be in Florida playing a boys' game -- as opposed to scraping the windshield of your car in 7-degree weather to get ready to go to work.
Looking at the standings, I have no idea why you don't have a bye. You were 3-2 , with 22 runs against. The 3 and 4 seed bye teams were 3-2 with runs against of 31 and 38????!!!! How do they get byes over you?!
It is what it is, but I would need that one explained to me!
Put that behind you! Take a DH today, and get ready for the semis and finals tomorrow!
