Well game 1 started off a little suspect we got our lead off batter on and we ended up not scoring, bottom of the first the Louisville Senators scored first to take an early 1-0 lead . 2nd Inning our Bats finally arrived from the airport and we scored a quick 3 runs, starter Lex herrlett settled in and threw a scoreless 2nd and 3rd inning. We would score 1 in the top 4 to take the lead to 4-1, Smitherman came in and blanked the bottom of the 4th. top 5 when we acclimated to the Florida weather and the fact one row of lighting blew out plating 6 runs, Smitherman ( 45 Bombers ) shut down any threat and threw a scoreless 5th. 12-1 it would remain till top 8th is when our offense started clicking with hits and walks throughout the lineup and we scored 10 taking the lead to 22-1 brian Kent ( Albany 45 div Warriors) closed the door with a scoreless 6th 7th 8th and 9th, YANKEES take the victory nice to get off and running with a win, everyone contributed throughout the lineup. GAME 2 tomorrow at 130 pm will keep you updated.
Great start, but the Louisville Senators are not a real contender for the rings. Today's tilt with the Connecticut Top Hats will be a much stiffer test. They lost 5-4 in last year's championship. Go out and show these guys some Albany baseball!
