A nice Hot !!! For baseball last night at the c diamond where the field was baking and it was cooler out of the dugout, and the Indians pulled away late for a 11-0 win over a tough Bears team where the score was 1-0 into the 4th. We were led by BJ Roberts who tossed a CG 3 hitter with 8K and had the loudest hit of the game where he pulled a pitch way foul and landed square on top of the moving Jeep coming down the hill for a big dent. On field he tripled and drove in 2. A So Eric Joyce 2 hits ,Adam Anderson 2 , Kody Caulfield a hit walk and a HBP . One of the hottest games I have played up here , but glad summer is finally here. Good luck to the BEARS the rest of the way.
It should be said that Jim had a short squad last night with some injuries and a couple of late scratches. Pulled nine players together who would be starters anywhere else and BJ Roberts pitched a gem. Bears went in thinking we may be able to take advantage of a skeleton crew of Indians and they still played like the champs they are. Great group of guys and very talented.
Congrats to the Indians on a great game and good luck the rest of the way (except the next time we meet!).
