You may have seen or heard reports that the Satellite field needs some TLC. OK, maybe a lot of TLC. I'm not trying to debate the cause of the problem but one factor is that the school season is over and so the school staff is not maintaining the field. That leaves it up to our league to work on the field.
I am inviting all interested parties to join me tomorrow (May 21) at 9:00 AM to work on some of the trouble spots. We will try to work on the mound, the home plate area and the infield dirt. Please bring your own rakes, pitch forks and dynamite. A couple of wheel barrows wouldn't hurt.
This invitation might be especially directed at players from the 45+ Yankees, Marlins, Brewers, Warriors, Royals and Black Sox as your teams play at the Satellite field this Sunday. You can either bitch about the field after your game or come down Saturday morning and make it playable.
