Mike Kane allowed just 5 hits over 7 innings, and Reggie Flansburg went 3-3 with an RBI to lead the Whiz Kids past the Marlins 6-1 Thursday night. Brian Musella (2-3, sb) was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom half of the first, stole second, and scored on an error. The Marlins evened the score in the 4th on a walk to Mike Gerard, a sb, and an error. The Whiz retook the lead with 4 runs in the 5th, on RBI from Kane, Flansburg, and Angel Rodriguez. They made it 6-1 in the 6th when Blaise Agnew singled, took second on a John Cortese single, and scored on an error. Due to all of the recent rain, it was just the second game for the Whiz, and the season opener for the Marlins. Let's hope for some better weather.
