On Saturday morning the Board of Directors met at Swift Road Park before distributing the baseballs and scorebooks to all the leagues managers.One important item that was acted upon involves a safety issue which was passed. It is now required in all Divisions that base coaches wear batting helmets which comply with MLB specifications. That means that the helmets may or may not have ear flaps. There was some discussion about teams not getting the league fee in on time and that more discussion is needed about late fees and the timing and use of the fees after collected. Some ideas proposed were using the late fees to purchase field equipment. Use the late fees to lower the next years league fees for all teams in the division. This will be discussed further at future meetings. Don Wixon presented the Board with the Treasurers report and items paid out.
