Greetings to everyone. At the Board of Directors meeting held on Monday night, the Division Commissioners presented their season plans for approval. Tom Smith presented the 18 Division plan with no major changes except the league will play a 24 game schedule this year and no courtesy runners will be allowed. The 33 Division plan was presented by Commissioner Jim Bonaparte and this Division will also play a 24 game schedule. One change this year is that BBCOR Composite bats will be allowed in this Division. The 45 Division Season Plan was laid out by Commissioner John Kalinski and he stated that a start date of 4/23/2017 is being planned with the season running up to 8/27/2017. Playoffs will be the same format as last season and will begin on 9/9/2017 and end on 10/31/2017 if needed. Finally, the 55 Division Commissioner John Reel revealed his season plan for this Division and the big news is that two umpires will now be assigned to regular season games as well as the play - offs. The 55 Division teams will be playing a 16 game schedule this season. I am happy to report that all of the season plans were approved by your Board of Directors and we are now one step closer to the 2017 baseball season. Don Ball gave an update on the Banquet plans which are moving along nicely. This event looks to be a great mix of fun, music, prizes and the honoring of the new Hall of Famers. Please make every effort to attend. Any questions about the meeting please feel free to contact me. Faithfully submitted by Bob Noto, Secretary.
Those 45 playoffs going until Halloween is awesome!
If you make the finals, we can all wear costumes or even dress up like baseball players and play a game!
