CDMSBL was respresented well as usual in the 60Cactus division all last week...tommy and Wayne doing yeomans work playing two weeks in a row and Timmy Brown playing at an MVP level we were able to secure a ring together Saturday 7-4 over a tough puget Sound team that was undefeated coming in... I will tell you the ring would not have come home without tommy ,Timmy, and Wayne who was absolutely fantastic all week... tommy gutted it out like only Tommy can and with the stinging loss we all felt in the 55 Division that belonged to Team Albany at least in some small way Tommy can celebrate his HOF induction. We never know how many times we will get to a final and actually get a ring so they are all sweet. this tourney i think 8 of the guys got their first one including Timmy and Wayne i believe. I couldnt think of a sweeter ring that i have been a part of than this one... Its tough to put a team together but with the nucleus of Albany filitered in we had the winning team formula that Albany is known for. Albany always represents itself well especially against teams sponsored All Star teams and we can still compete with them and challenge for a ring be it Roy Hobbs Florida MSBL or Phoenix. It was an honor to play baseball with the best MSBL in the country by far. Thanks Tommy Timmy and Wayne for helping bringing this home and making this one very special... I took care of the wagon with everyones equipment on it and led the team in K's Ha ha!!! Seriously knowing the CDMSBL like i do and every year i tell Tommy how much i miss playing at New Scotland and hobbling out on the field to play the game of baseball with my best baseball friends on earth. It was an honor to take this home and hopefully the Albany pipeline will come back again and get the 55 ring they deserved and we can hopefully defend next years title
Thanks for all the well wishes guys hope to see everyone next summer for a couple of cold ones! CDMSBL is and alway will be my home. California aint New York thats for sure!!!!
well done, ted, and albany team - a ring. that's great. it's a pleasure to read, too, ted, that you're still hobnobbing and playing with albany guys, and getting not only wins but good stories out of it. hope to see you when you can amble this way again. congrats to the guys.
Great Job to you guys!!! I've had to sit out 2016.. moving back to the area and get back into the 55's. You really don't know what your missing.. especially with all the great guys in our 55 and over league, as well as all of the competitors in every other division.
Especially Timmy, Wayne, guys that I"ve played with. You guys just keep playing the game with ease.. it's so nice to see you doing it on the field in a variety of ways... Here it is. guys over 60 years of age doing this.. UNIQUE INDEED!!!!
