I am in need of about three more players for a game against the BABL this weekend. We have nine players right now but I'd like to have a couple of players for cycling in-and-out of the game as well as to cover any possible shortages due to injury and whatnot. Most importantly, I would love to win a game since the Massachusetts boys took the first game in this series and we need to even this one up. That was a good team we played against and had the lead all the way into the ninth inning!
This game will provide a great opportunity to those who are going to Florida or Arizona to play in the upcoming November tournaments to get some work in against some excellent competition.
In looking over the roster I currently have, I could use one more player who can cover a middle infield spot, another outfielder (any outfield spot) and a pitcher. I can guarantee any pitcher a three-inning minimum on the mound. If I can get more than three players I will bench myself in favor of other players.
Please let me know ASAP if you can play. I need a head count by Friday night to prepare lineups and ensure everyone plays. Here are the game specifics:
Saturday October 8 3:00 p.m. first pitch Chatham Little League Complex v. BABL All Stars 9 Inning Game
We will be the "road" team this week so arrive early to get your swings in. Also, the Chatham field will not be in use this weekend for playoff games so if you arrive early you will have plenty of on-field warm-up time.
