hey ed - i'd heard from jim porter that the giants won, 5-2. so now it's officially the third straight title for the giants. indeed remarkable.
but the whizzers had a great season: 12-3, with a regular season win over the giants. their season bodes well for a more competitive division next year.
The big question is will the 2016 draftees (like Mike Kane) stay with the teams that drafted them, or will they leave to play with the teams they wanted to play for before they were drafted.
The Draft has kept guys from moving into the 55's. Kept teams from recruiting to better themselves. It may be the cause for a team or two to stay stagnant or fold... Dave
I personally know of 3 quality players that are not playing in the 55's because of the draft, and if these draftees only play one year where they are drafted, I think it is counter productive.
Exactly, the top teams may be in the position for a couple of years and then it changes as we have seen in the 45 and 55 division. Marlins, Yankees, Cardinals etc.....Where did they go ?
