the winner was...?

spent about an hour friday night at new scotland watching the second whiz-yankees playoff game.

very good game, excellent pitching (kane v. weber) and terrific hitting by both clubs.

when i got there, in the fourth, score was, i believe, 3-2 yanks. when i left in the top of the sixth, it was 4-3 or 5-3 (or more) whiz.

yanks won the first game, i believe. and the winner of the second was ....?

and if there's a third game, that will be ...?

i know, i know, i ask too many questions. journalists never really retire.

you can often find them hanging on as fans, with questions.

The Whiz won by three, 7-4, I believe. Game 3 scheduled for Monday at 5:45 at New Scotland, I believe, weather-permitting. Kane was able, going the distance for the Whiz.

Two good games to start the series. Game 1 went to the Yankees 8-4, as they took advantage of defensive lapses by the Whiz Kids.
The Whiz Kids forced a Game 3 by tightening the defense and taking Game 2 by a score of 6-3.
Mike Kane and John Webber each went the distance in both games. Incredible performances.
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at New Scotland at 5:45.
Should be another good one.
