A hearty congratulations to the Whiz! This week, they beat the 55 Marlins for the second time this year, and in so doing, reminded us of some old baseball lessons - stay focused, be ready for every out, complete every play, and stay in the game until the last out. They are playing great baseball, and they are good natured while they conduct business. We had them on the ropes. We didn't focus or execute. They did. They came from behind. And they deserve the victories. They are the better team. Way to go, Whiz. Particular kudos to Coach Porter.
Enjoy playing them, boys! They will provide a good evening of baseball for you.
On behalf of all the Whiz Kids, I'd like to thank you, Jim, for those kind words. Our two teams are evenly matched, as indicated by the two close, competitive games that we played. I would expect another nail biter if we are fortunate to meet in the playoffs. Like the Marlins, the Whiz are made up of some great guys. They are unselfish, play hard, and encourage each other. They make coming to the ballpark fun. Good luck the rest of the way to you and the Marlins.
