Giants win 5-1 in a very well played game that took 1:30 to play at the Satellite field.
Jon Atwell pitched well - again - in defeat, but the real story of the game was the Giants defense that pulled off no fewer than three web gems: An all-out airborne diving catch by Mark Dabney in CF, a similar-type catch by Doug Reisinger in LF and a diving stop in the hole at SS by Jim Hicks who came up throwing a seed that Mario Arduini picked out of the dirt to nab the runner by a half-step. Mario had a couple of gold-glove type picks to help the cause.
I don't have the book, and at my age that's about all I can remember.
One final thought: Scott and Jake Bonnano along with Jon Corrigan (at least rumor has it that it was John) got the infield in perfect shape for the 10 a.m. game. Home plate area was a bit mucky, but by game-time, it was perfect. Plus it was warmer for our game than it was for later games as a front came through. Thnx guys!
