Bombers edge Cubs 7-3.

Greg Witalec scattered 6 Cubs hits and walked only 1, while striking out 3, in a complete game win.
The game was tied at 3 until the top of the 6th, when with the bases loaded and 2 outs,
Ryan Johnson blooped a two run single just over the infield into short right field.
Tony Parella followed with a fly ball that just evaded the Cubs right fielder, who was fighting the wind on the play, and the score was all of a sudden 7-3.

Lex Herlett made an outstanding catch in the 3rd inning, on a long fly by Bryce cutler into the right center field gap.
There were runners on first and third with no outs at the time, so the catch saved, what could have been a very big inning.

I look forward to playing the next game between these two teams on a day where the weather will hopefully be much better!
The wind and cold took some of the fun out of this one.
