Condolences out to Mike Lannon, whose mother passed away Saturday at the age of 100.
Mike is a member of the 55 Giants and has been in the league since 1999. He is a Jim Jordan Sportsmanship Award winner.
As many of you know, I have known Mike since Little League and used to hang with him playing ball till all hours of the day in the Eastland Park neighborhood of Rensselaer. Mike's mom was as caring and thoughtful as any person you could ever have been lucky enough to meet.
She was absolutely full of joy and spirit on her 100th birthday last August. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
