Our inaugural Albany Capitals tournament team ended its first tournament today losing in the second playoff game.
Our morning first round game went well with Darnell Baker going 5 and Johnny Weber closing the final 4 innings for a 12-3 win over the SA Hitzman from Pennsylvania. This afternoon in the Florida sun playing a fresh team from southern NJ called the Del Val Bombers were to much for our tired bodies. Lex Herrlett did all he could to tame the bats , but with a tired defense and probably 4-5 Texas leaguers.... Johnny Weber closed the last 5 innings to finish again for a 16-4 loss. Once we all realized what we accomplished and that we were playing baseball in Florida. We all walked out with a smile.
