We will host our final game of the Fall Ball season this Saturday at Watervliet High School.
BP at 11:00, game will start promptly at noon. Cost is $5.00
If you haven't played at "Vliet yet, you owe it to yourself. The infield is in great shape. The mound and the batters' boxes are outstanding. And if bat against me you can hit the ball all the way to the hill that is about 400' feet from home plate just like Tim Burns did! Seriously though, this is a great field and a great opportunity to play some late season baseball.
And here's another thing to think about. Remember how cold it was last winter? Remember how cold and nasty it was last February, March and April? And May? And parts of June? Remember just wishing you could get a decent day and a decent field to play some baseball? Well that's about to happen again. The weather from November to April is going to suck!
So why not take out that spikes and the glove one last time before the snow falls. Why not feel the ball hit the sweet spot of your bat on one more Saturday. That's one of the best feelings an old guy can have .... at least without using a lubricant!
Any way... email me at dballjr@nycap.rr.com if you want to play. As of this posting we have about five open spots.
