A wonderful night for baseball at the Bob and the Indians bounced back to defeat a tough Padres squad 10-6 last night. Brendan Roberts started on the bump and was cruising along with a 3-1 lead before the Padres scored 4 in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead and look like the Indians streak would be over. Nick Mcpartland hit a solo homer in the 6th to bring the score to 5-4 , then the Padres got two on in the bottom of the 6th with 1 out and Nick Mcpartland got two strikeouts to end the threat, and on to the 7th. The old coach decided to pinch hit for him self and sent up James ( Kentucky) Derby who hit a long double to left center and looked like American Pharoaf striding into second. BJ singled and the Indians then put up 6 to take back the lead and get the win. BJ roberts 3-4 Fernando Robleno 2-4 Nick Mcpartland 2-3 and JB Brantley 2-4 helped lead the way. The Padres had 13 hits as a team led by Eric Miller who had 3 and will be a tough out for their playoff opponent. Good luck the rest of the way.
