As of 8am, New Scotland (Swift Rd) was in decent shape and playable. The Blue Jays and Black Sox are going to give it a try. Too much more rain may put an end to it. Curt Tucker
We gave it the ol' college try, but couldn't get in an official game. We started at 9:30 in occasional light rain. Black Sox held a 3-2 lead after 3 innings, when a steadier round of rain came through. In the bottom half of the 4th, Jays were threatening when consensus was that the mound was getting too slippery. We covered and waited for a bit, but the rain kept coming and we called the game.
On the bright side, we got to play a few extra innings. We'll look forward to trying again in a few weeks.
