A beautiful fri night the Indians started their season with a nice 16-0 victory over the Yankees. Lex'a bunch was a little shorthanded missing a couple key players. We started off with 11 runs in the 1st inning led by BJ Roberts with 2 doubles and a walk 3 runs scored and was the winning pitcher as well. Jami Burnetter also was 2-2 and threw 2 scoreless innings and 3 runs scored. Will Horan 2-3 Fernando 2-3 nick Matthews 2-3 nick Mcpartland 2-3 Paul giroux 2-3 JB Brantley a double. All total 18 hits. On defense we also turned a double and triple play. Leo Primeau in his debut also threw a scoreless inning and had a single. I'm sure next time will be a tougher task when Lex is at full strength . Next up the Mets Tuesday.
