Jim Shook of the 35 Dodgers has been voted into the Capital District MSBL Hall of Fame. Jim will be inducted at the League Banquet on April 11th. Please join me in congratulating Jim on this achievement. John Reel , CDMSB pres.
Jim became eligible last year (minimum of 10 years in the league). Some of the older members (who hadn't been in the batter's box against Jim) resisted voting for him on the first ballot. Those of us who have faced him, convinced them of the folly of their ways this year.
Congrats to Jim Shook for being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
If you are in the league and you heard of the guy who would throw 21 innings in 1 Saturday afternoon and only give up 3 hits and 0 runs all day the rumor is true. Jim Shook did this yearly during all tournaments that we would play in. He was a constant force that led his team on many occasions no matter what division he was in to win the title.
Jim was the pitcher you hated to face but knew he would bring out the best in you. Starting my 10th season this year he was the best pitcher I have had the pleasure facing.
Congratulations Mr. Shook its a pleasure and an honor to have faced you!
Great recognition for a Columbia County native as a Taconic Hills, Col-Grn Comm College, Twilight and CDMSBL standout. Well deserved. Big congratulations.
