Any Interest in the Columbus Day Tournament in Maryland?

I'd be interested in getting a team together for the Chesapeake Regional Tournament in Frederick, MD (about 45 minutes from Baltimore) scheduled for Columbus Day weekend in 2015. I have family in the area and a contact who works for the Marriott Corporation in Laurel, MD so I might even be able to get some sort of deal on lodging. It's only about a five hour drive from here and it's really close to Washington, DC (for those interested in non-baseball activities while not playing ball).

If there's enough interest I will put forth every effort to enter a team in the tournament. I know it's well ahead of schedule, but we can never be too early in thinking about these sorts of things.

I believe they have 35+ and 45+ divisions.

Any takers? Post here or let me know at Robert_N_Currier@hotmail.com

So far I have three responses saying if a team is committed to going they will join. Two pitchers! And all three are qualify for the 45+ category so I'm really trying to focus on a 45+ team.

Let me know if you're interested and I will get it together!

Two more players interested - both are pitchers as well. We're up to six players who would be interested if the league wishes to field a team for the tournament! Four of them pitchers!

Let's keep it going. I will reach out to the league in Maryland if I can get to ten players and then we'll worry about filling out the rest of the roster later on in the season..
