Apparently he ran into trouble on vacation - i just received this email - i know jimmy dalton had issues too a while back
OF COURSE IT IS A SCAM - just figured i would share it here to see who else received this email - i responded and they replied with instructions on how to wire them $2,800 ..... i told them no .... with some choice comments!
I hope you get this on time, Am in Lviv(Ukraine) right now for a business trip and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and personal effects therein. thank God the embassy has just issued me a temporary passport but I have to pay for a ticket and settle my hotel bills with the Manager.
I have made contact with my bank but it would take me 3-5 working days to access funds in my account, the bad news is my flight will be leaving very soon and the hotel manager won't let me leave until I settle the bills, I need your help/LOAN financially and I promise to make the refund once I get back home, you are my last resort and hope, Please let me know if I can count on you and I need you to keep checking your email because it's the only way I can reach you.
I'll really appreciate your prompt response

the spooky news here is that people who opened the message may find their emails hacked and also become victims of internet pranks, cons and thefts.
hacking not only opens you up to warped, basement dwelling spies reading your emails and sites you surf on the web, but it may also make you and your correspondents ripe for identity theft.
so 2 quick lessons for us all here:
(1) don't open any emails you don't know or think are suspicious. (i got a "q" message too; i trashed it without opening it.) (2) constantly check to make sure the emails you send and receive are ones you want to mail and expect to get, and double check your credit card payments.
to protect himself and his friends, quentin can find hacker-tracking and clearing companies on the web. for a fee (i think it's about $100-$150) they will clear his computer of hackers' tracks and install better security devices than he now has.
I used to get hacked when I kept the same password for years. Once I started changing it every 3 months, No more Hacks. If you are frequently hacked, I recommend changing your password every now and then.

whenever you site whether a site you are purchasing something from or what have you and it asks for your email address and then asks for a password most people put their REAL password in for the site I suggest not doing that at all , it is a way hacks get into your email when they hack the site you purchased from it has your in
