Team Albany had good news and some bad news in sunny Florida today. The good news is that Team Albany qualified for the play offs. The bad news was a loss to the undefeated team from Puerto Rico. Both teams knew before the game that they had qualified and used the opportunity to rest some players who had logged a lot of innings. Even so Team Albany took. 3-1 lead behind the strong pitching of Scott Ross into the sixth inning. A costly error with two outs in the seventh opened up the flood gates and Puerto Rico took a 4-3 lead and went on to win 12-3. Team Albany now awaits word on who their first round opponent will be in the play offs
