In game 1 the Royals faced off against the Braves with Atwell on the mound for the Royals against Witalec for the Braves. The Royals plated three in the top of the first on a couple of Braves errors and some aggressive baserunning. The Braves answered right back in the bottom of the first on some sloppy defense by the Royals to tie the game at 3-3. After a few scoreless innings the Royals went on top by a run on a Finelli laser over the left field fence. The Royals scored three more in the 5th or 6th. Braves scored two in the bottom of the 6th to cut it to 7-5. The bottom of the 7th started out with a diving grab on a popup by Royals catcher Jack Riley and the next batter was out as well. The Braves mounted a two out threat and had two runners on before the game ended on a fly ball.
Game 2 was a tight game versus the Shaskys with Samarija and Tesorerio throwing. Royals plated two in the first and two a couple of innings later to take a 4-0 lead. Shaskys cut it to 4-2 in the 6th and that was it for the scoring.
