BlueJays Pound Out 13 Hits in Tough Loss to Marlins

In a game in which the BlueJays pounded out 13 hits and threw the 4th and 5th pitcher on their roster for the start and middle innings of the game and still almost pulled out the game. Both teams had occasional errors and with our pitching staff depleted to vacations, injury, and our number one arm with a tired arm I was proud of our guys with a no giveup attitude.
.We still had a chance to take that game. Wayne Newcomb pitched very effectively for 3 innings before he tired and lost command and started walking batters. The relief pitching was not up to par and walked batters and gave up some hits.
John Weber had 3 hits for the Jays, Pat Alston 2 hits including a Homer, Paul Post and Tim Borwick had 2 hits apiece.

Tough loss, but we still have some tough games ahead of us and I know we will be up to the task.
