I look forward to tomorrow's game. It will be 9 innings. All player's who are not members of CDMSBL will need to fill out Player Wavier and COC forms. Try to get there early so all the paper work is done well before game time. I will bring batting helmets and a couple of bats, catcher's gear and practice balls. There will be hamburger's (cheese), hot dogs, and chips provided by the league, and water, generously provided by Hannaford's Market. I would suggest you bring extra liquid's in case we run out of water. There will be t-shirts for sale at $7.50.
The two squads will be skippered by Don Burresci and Chuck Stanley. Following are the roster's.
Don, Thank you very much for setting up the Father/Son game, and for umping. I had a great time, and you really helped keep the game light and fun. Much appreciated!!!
There is a joy seeing sons and fathers on the hallowed diamond of baseball. It was an exciting and well played game by both squads. My thanks to the managers, Don Burriesci and Chuck Stanley. No easy feat to meet the specialized rules in this game. Great job men! And to Don "I think I'm a Cook" Ball, I could not possibly have pulled this off without your help. Thank you again Don. There were many familiar faces, and some new ones also. I hope you all can return next year. Thanks to John Kalinski for getting the t-shirts on short notice. And a thank you to CDMSBL for their continued support of this event.
By the way Chuck, could you try to field a team of Stanley's next year, since you were only 4 short of fielding a nine this year.
Thank you Don Wixon and Don Ball for another special day playing baseball with our sons on a gorgeous day for baseball! It was an unbelievably well played game with some awesome young talent showcased. Excellent pitching and defense with very few errors or walks. Great way to spend a Father's Day morning!
