CDMSBL rules state: "5-1: Major League Baseball rules shall apply unless superseded by CDMSBL rules."
I remember last year when someone pointed out that the old fake-to-third-throw-to-first move is now a balk.
Are we then to assume that umpires will enforce MLB's new Secured Possession Rule that seems to state that a catch isn't a catch until the ball has been successfully transferred to the throwing hand (i.e. not an out if dropped on "the transfer")?
This rule's causing a big stir in MLB. This link shows several early season examples: http://www.draysbay.com/2014/4/10/5598542/controversial-but-consistent-the-new-secured-possession-rule
I watched a game the other night and the official ruling was that the catch wasnt made until the first baseman closed his glove , It was hard to enough to see it on a slow motion replay ahaha how they figure the umps in our league will be able to determine that ruling haha I love our men in blue

There is a rep from the Umpires coming to the managers meeting. Pass this thought along to your manager or team rep and have them bring it up at the meeting and it can be addressed while a rep for each team in the league is present so everyone is on the same page.
