last season, we were fortunate to get use of the satellite field in voorheesville for some pre-season practices. i believe that was something that john reel and ed diegel and perhaps a few others set up.
it was great: managers just signed up to use the field on various days and times. since fields are at a premium in the spring, having satellite available meant we didn't have to scramble to find a workout space.
so does anyone know if we'll be doing that again? maybe at other fields, too?
if it turns out that there's lots of demand for a field, then maybe two teams could share the field for a workout? the peppers would be glad to do that with any other team.
also, will we be doing a pre-season field repair day at satellite?

p.s. actually, one more thing: this year, we may be having more competition for space at sand creek. i stopped there today (sunday) about 6, and saw that three sets of cricket players were practicing. one on the tennis court, one on the softball diamond and one on the football field. they can really smack that little ball and it travels a good distance.
the good news is that someone has added new dirt and loam to the near diamond's infield. it was soft and nicely flattened. and already, there were lots of tracks of baseball spikes in that dirt. someone got there early. -m.
