Are you looking to CATCH on?

Are you a 45+ eligible player looking for some serious squat time? Are you feeling lonely in right field and yearning to get dirty and beat up (where the action is) behind the plate? Or maybe you're eager to feel the warm, moist, pepperoni-tainted breath of local umps on the back of your neck? (Oooooh, nice!)

If so, you are in luck. The new-look, vastly, immeasurably improved 45+ Cougars are looking for a catcher who is ready to step in and be THE MAN. Catching experience is desirable, but not necessary. If you've got the desire, I've got the job. And you'll like our catching equipment--after all, it's as old as you are!

And it's not too late to jump teams, if you're already signed-up. I mean, why sit on the bench fondling the dreaded scorebook when you can join a new team and PLAY? And play. And play. In fact, you'll get so much playing time your cup will, uh, runneth over! And I can guarantee you that catching is a whole lot easier than keeping score.

Sounds too good to be true--right? So, let's talk--give me a call: (518) 758-2216.

Catch on!

Frank

Frank,
What are you doing to the guys who catch for the cats? That squad changes backstops more than-( your metaphor here ).

Goes through them like a set of bias plies on the back of a '72 Cutlass.

having enjoyably played for the cougars, i can tell you what happens to our catchers: they're snapped up by the top-of-the-heap clubs.

our last catcher? now in the cincinnati reds organization.

remember carlton fisk, ivan (pudge) rodriguez, and jorge posada?

all cougars first.

we train 'em, they take 'em.

it's true. you can look it up.

it is so hard to write humor. maybe harder still to read it.

irony, is it lost?

a well-meant suggestion, bq, re-read above and laugh. you may be in a better place now. in any case, the laughter should feel good.

p.s. let us know if cincinnati calls.

Totally agree.
It's supposed to be humour guys.
Can ya rent a funny bone if you don't have one?
Might not be your cuppa tea but let's not take it some where it wasn't intended.
