John Pologa pitched a masterful 7 inning complete game against the much improved Cougars. John struck out 8, gave up 2 runs, 1 earned and 4 hits. Mark Lennox led the offense with 3 hits and Mike Cleary drove in 2 runs with a double. About the Cougars, Frank has added several players, including my former teammate, Adam Zafran, who know how to play the game but are a bit rusty from not having played for some time. I credit Frank for his perseverance in keeping the Cougars going, and I think he has it right this year with the new player's he has brought into the fold. I think we will find the Cougars in the win column before the end of the season.
Thank you for your kind, thoughtful words, Don. The Cougars are indeed a work in progress.
I only wish I had Pologa, Musella, Booker, yourself and several other Black Sox players on my team! A great bunch of guys, the Black Sox, and always a pleasure to face them on the field.
