The Reds moved their record to 9-2, with a 9-1 win over the Shasky's on Sunday afternooon at Satellite. After scoreless 1st and 2nd innings, the Reds got to Shasky's starter Dennis Lane, scoring 2 in the 3rd. Chuck Handford and Wil Ferguson started the inning with singles and were promptly plated on singles by Joe Burns and Bob Davis. Bryan Mueller and Dave VanWormer singled to start the 4th for the Reds and moved to 2nd and 3rd on a wild pitch. After a groundout to first, Jonny Martin singled them both in with a hard shot to center. Martin was pushed across on a FC by Alex Marin. The Reds made it 9-0 in the 5th, adding 4 more runs, on an error, walk and a single and double by Joe Careccia and Jonny Martin. Joe Burns got the win, going 6 shutout innings and yielding 4 hits for the Reds. Jonny Martin came in and pitched the 7th, allowing 1 unearned run. For the Shasky's, 5 different guys pitched in with singles. Next up for the Reds is a Tuesday evening contest with the Cyclones at New Scotland.
