We played the Highlanders last night and while it was a tight game, their guys were great. It's nice to hear from the other team when you do somwthing well. I've always tipped my hat to something done well and these guys are all class.
Thanks Barry, so are you and all your brothers, and your other "brothers"! That was a fun, tight game and you got the big hit off my little curve ball, but all you guys made some good plays. I think Dan digging that throw out at second after you made a nice play was a biggie, and Dabs rightfully gets talked about as one of the best hitters in the league (because he IS!), but that was an on-target missile he threw from CF to nail the runner at the plate and his defense is often overlooked since he's extremely valuable in the field at a number of positions as well... Freddie pitched awesome as he had good movement on his ball and Mario made a couple nice plays at first and also got a big RBI single he roped off me as I tried to sneak a fastball by him... Plus he's just cool anyways (not as cool as Mick tho, ain't nobody that cool!), so we'll look forward to seeing you guys in the playoffs as hey, at least we made it closer and closer each time we played this year and goes to again show how fun and competitive this division has become... Even if the Cubs and Dodgers do keep slipping by us all SO FAR, the general parity makes it a lot more fun for everyone as I am definitely enjoying the 35's more than ever... Tip of the hat to the Rays as well. 3-0 against us this year. Wish we could beat'em but that's a fine team they have there. Should be a factor all the way to the end.
