Somehow both Swift Road and the Satellite Field escaped the torrential downpours all day long and all of the 45 games were played ...... i live 10 miles away and we had a couple of serious storms that missed voorheesville.
Dodgers opened the scoring with 5 in the top of the 1st with singles by Hicks, Sohl, Caputo and Altobelli along with a HBP by Parella and a BB by Corrigan. Black Sox answered with 3 in the 1st on a two out walk to Hauser followed by back to back doubles by Stanley and Pologa then singles by Solomon and Bintz. Black Sox tie it up in the 2nd on singles by Mitchell, Lennox and Hauser.
Dodgers add 4 in the 3rd all with two out on a Parella double, a Kanellis double then consecutive singles from Duncan, Caputo and Corrigan. Dodgers add 1 in the 4th on a couple of walks and a fielders choice then add 5 in the 6th on a Kanellis double, DUncan walk and singles from Caputo, Corrigan and Reed to build a 15-5 lead entering the bottom of the 6th.
Black Sox plated 6 in the 6th on a combination of hits, walks and errors and had the leadoff guy on in the 7th before a double play and a groundout to first ended the game.
FOr the Dodgers Caputo was 3-3, Corrigan 2-2, Cortese 2-3, Parella 2-3 with two doubles, Sohl and Kanellis 2-4 and Hicks, Duncan, Altobelli Reed and Conlin adding hits.
