In a damp game - Royals faced off against the Cougars. Pitching for the the Royals Boomer Hartman, Bill Farrell and Jon Atwell and for the Cougars (rookie) Donald McComb, Mike Hart, Eric Sundwall and (returning to the game) Rick Face. Noteworthy was Hartman's line drive to right center clearing the fence nicely.
