Americans defeated the Hawks 16-4 Friday night at the Satelite field. Leading the way for the Americans was John Hayden with a triple, double, and single,also Jim Wing with 2 doubles,a single and 4 runs scored, and getting the pitching win was Dave (Bones) Jones who went the distance and also contributed a double at the plate.
The Hawks have some new ball players and are much improved from last year so be ready for a game when you face them especially after they play a few games together.We only had 9 guys tonight so I don't have the Hawks stats in front of me.
