Giants over Dodgers by two TD's biggrin

I heard Shaskys beat Cougars by a similar margin.

Vets / Cyclones were idle.

So the 1-0 teams are

Braves, Shaskys, Reds, Giants, Yankees

0-1 teams are

Blue Jays, Cougars, Black Sox, Dodgers, Marlins

On a bright note we clinched a playoff spot biggrin

What, did you miss it?
The defending Champs took an absolute thrashing at the hands of the Yankees, 11-4...
Ask the Grand Poobah about it if you want a tainted view of reality as yeah, they were awful ~ and keep saying it was "THEIR" first game of the year, as if it weren't ours as well...
And discounting it was not just our first game of the year, but 3 guys who'd never even seen each other before the game were major contributors and it was 2 of their first game in the great state of NY!
They are Yankees now and bringing us to the CDMSBL promised land...
God help us all if that "land" is the Satellite field!

Not worth it Steve.
The entire league knows what Marcus is all about. Sometimes I get carried away answering his slanderous posts, and I apologize to those that this offends, but I am human and his attacks are personal. He will find out soon enough how tired we all are of his antics here!

I take my hat off to the effort that the Yankees put out on the field Sunday morning.
If my post didn't salute them enough, then I also apologize for that. They did out hit us 9-6, or whatever Marcus thinks (because he is always right). I pointed out that the difference in the game was their defense. They made one error, and we had 10. I wasn't trying to make any excuses, and I think that any sane person reading my post gets that. My point was the Marlins played poor defense and the Yankees did not. That pretty much sums it up. Marcus felt slighted because I didn't mention him personally. That pretty much sums up what kind of teammate he is. Enough said.

I naturally take offense to all of the other poison that Marcus is spewing, but I will let him know how I feel more in person.
I know it is somewhat entertaining to some having me whip him here on the bb, but it offends others, so I will take it offline for now. It is a little unfair having a battle of wits with Mark. He only brings a sling shot to the gun fight.

Again Steve congrats on the game one win!

Uh yeah, I know, it's a little advanced for some Blue Staters, so try and follow... Or maybe it's just that "What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

So if it was 10-1 in errors like he says, well, 10-1 = 9, ey???
but since it was REALLY 8-2 and that equals 6...

Duh, 6 is only 2/3 of that and I dunno ~ maybe one of the other Blue Staters can figure it out from there...

But yeah, point stands clear that Marlins lead the league in unjustifiably stacking stats...
And they start doing it right outta the gate...
As this clearly shows to anyone who can do basic math, regardless of what state they hail from...

And it sure is good to be a damn Yankee and earn our hits...
Plus the only stat that really matters anyways is the one which goes to the left or right in the W-L column...
And again, 11-4 in favor of the good guys says it all, no matter how you dress it up...

da, da, dat's all folks!

It was 8 errors to 2... See the difference here? A 1/3 ratio as the Marlins give themselves extra hits they don't earn and the Yankees do not... And all leads to the inflated, UNrealistic stats they LOVE to claim they have as fact at the end of the year when in fact it is nothing but nonsense to dole out awards to themselves... Oh, other teams do it too, no question, but NO, we Yankees do not...

Facts are we outhit them, we out pitched them, and we played better defense... Beat them at ALL three phases of the game...
And quite easily too...

Bottom line is that 11-4 says it all...

Red State math strikes again.

Mark,

You're my coach, your my teammate and I like playing for you; but . . . 8:2 = 4:1 in terms of ratio. Every. Single. Time.

Hahahaha ~ wow...
It's not a single equation...
It's in relation to Girrard's absurd claim versus my actual factual numbers...

And as clearly shown above, it is a .3333333333 difference in "statistical opinion." Every. Single. Time...
At least you have that part right!

I feel like this is one of those Facebook math problems that while having a single simple answer, people argue in the comments section about their answer being right, even when it is clearly wrong...
Especially because no matter what you guys say, mine is right dammit!

wink
