Veterans Day

I hoped all my follow Veterans in our league enjoyed their Day today.
I was thinking in the future we as a league could recognize the numerous guys who are members (Past and Present) and who have also served in the Military with a post or a webpage denoting their service to Our Country.

Thanks Tony
U.S. Navy & New York Air National Guard Veteran (Retired) combined 21 Years Service

I also wish all the guys in the Tournaments Good Luck!!!

thoughtful comment and nicely said, tony.

i think you're right: there could be a posting of some sort on our web page
honoring men and women who've served in the u.s. military.

much as we have now a picture on our website of victorious teams,
we could have a photo of many of the cdmsbl players who've served in the
u.s. military along with a listing of all the names of the people - the
players as well as spouses or girl friends who also served in the league.
we could post that twice a year: every july 4th and every veterans'
day, beneath a logo that says "cdmsbl thanks all the veterans."

a second thought: it might make some sense for someone from the
league the board's secretary or president or a volunteer working
on behalf of the board to send a message to msbl national in long
island, asking the national to contact the six service branches
(army, navy, marines, air force, coast guard and merchant marine)
and ask them to give guys who are mustering out of the service information
about the league and its affiliates in the cities and states where they
live. that way, athletes coming home will know there's one more
organization, along with a group of guys their ages, ready to welcome
them home.

Good comments Tony. We had our Hobbs 60s teams line up on the foul lines before the game to recognize Vets.
