Just wanted to throw out kudos to the Reds in their semifinals vs. the Giants.
They easily could have advanced to the finals with a couple of breaks. Things just happen to bounce our way. And they handled everyting with class, dignity and character. Manager Dave VanWormer gave the Giants all the credit and would hear of no excuses whatsoever.
It was also a pleasure to share our cooler sessions together on both days. Always gracious in victory and defeat, those guys are class acts and a joy to hang with. And man, did they leave some lasting memories!
To Alex, Pete G., Rich, Eddie, Chuck, Geo and Dave Schillinger, Joey C., Jay, Burnsie, Worm, JMar, Mazz, Ron McCarthy and the rest of the guys, can't wait till we all meet again.
A post-season get-together at the K of C in Rams city is in order!
I just want to add congrats from the Golden Marlins to the Reds on a great season. It was no great surprise that the Reds got so close to making the finals! Dave loaded his team with talent and depth, especially in the pitching department. It took them a while to get going, but they finished strong and will be a huge threat to whoever wins the crown in 2013. Have a great off-season! I hope we will see some of you out at the ball park this weekend for the finals. The Marlins coolers will be full! Come and join us after the games!
