Those are movie trailers to the books I have edited for Mark Donahue.
We spoke on the phone last night. Last At-Bat is expected to be released in the spring when baseball fever starts to heat up.
The Golden Reich is still a year away, but the manuscript is in my hands now.
Not sure I've ever been as excited about work!!!
I realize the trailers aren't much, but hope they at least pique your interest enough to buy the books and see the movies.
I met Mark in Florida last year when five of us from Albany joined a Chicago-based team called the Chicago Wind to play in a national Roy Hobbs baseball tournament. He was on the team.
Mark brought five books of Final At-Bat to our condo and autographed each of them. The books were just a few of several hundred that his publisher gave him to hand out just to get people's reactions. I asked if he had an editor and he said no. I said, "You do now. Let's talk.'' And it took off from there. After editing Last At-Bat, he sent me his second book, which is Golden Reich.
