91 votes were cast and most voters chose to move the Player Movement date up to Dec. 1. Nearly as many chose to keep it as it is.
This rule as it stands now allows everyone in all divisions to become free agents by midnight Feb. 1. The Board will consider this voting when it convenes again in October.

Just to clarify - Under the current system ALL players become "free-agents" at the conclusion of their respective seasons, UP UNTIL Feb 1st of the following year. If a player didn't leave his current team by that date, he would then need the consent of his current manager to do so.
The poll suggests that, by a small majority, Dec. 1st be the deadline to declare for free agency.
Perhaps Jan. 1st would be reasonable compromise...
